A little bit about me:
I am now 77 years old and, after celebrating 60 wonderful years at Dutch & Dutch last year, I have stepped into a consultancy role. It has been a privilege to see our family business grow and evolve over the decades. I am proud to share that my son David has now taken over the running of the company, continuing our family’s legacy and guiding Dutch & Dutch into its next exciting chapter.
What I like doing outside work:
Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family. I have been happily married to my wife Adrienne for 53 years, and together we have two wonderful children and three delightful grandchildren. We enjoy going to the theatre, walking and visiting National Trust Historic Houses which is a shared passion that brings us great joy.
When time allows, my main passion is Hobie Cat sailing in Greece - a thrilling and liberating experience that connects me with nature and adventure. I also love taking long walks in and around Hampstead, soaking in the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings. Another favourite pastime is swimming in the Hampstead men’s ponds, a unique and refreshing way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors.
Why I Have Enjoyed Working at Dutch & Dutch:
The diverse world of property has been a major part of my life for the past 60 years. I have loved every aspect of the business, from the challenges of commercial property to the satisfaction of helping clients find their perfect home or commercial building. Now, stepping back and watching the business thrive with a strong, energetic, and youthful team in all departments fills me with pride and happiness. The tradition of family leadership and our commitment to honest, responsive service continues to define Dutch & Dutch, and I am delighted to see the company flourish under David’s guidance.
Proudest moment to date:
There are too many proud moments to mention, but I will say that watching my son David take our family business into the 21st Century has to be the proudest.
